With a title like that who in their right mind would not want to see this film? From the independent film company, ZP International comes news that Santa Claus Versus The Zombies will not only have a crazy title but will also be utilising the newest development of 3D - never before used in any other film! Directed by George Bonilla (who was recently awarded the Kentucky Filmmaker of the Decade by Dark Woods!) this film tells the story of an actor dressed as ol' St. Nick, his elves and a family as they battle for survival when a horde of zombies show up in time for Christmas! Luckily the US government are on hand. The most exciting part of this news is the 3D itself. According to the film's makers, this 3D has never been used before. The film is said to work on any DVD player, any TV and will not require any fancy equipment for it to work. But whether it will actually work or whether it is just a sneaky advertising tool remains another question.
ZP International have made many other horror films in the past, most notably Zombie Planet (George Bonilla; 2004) and the award-winning The Edison Death Machine (George Bonilla; 2006), but this is the first time they've ever made a family-friendly film. A family-friendly no-budget zombie film in 3D? Mmm - I'll save my judgements until I've seen it I think. Santa Claus Versus The Zombies will be available from November (2010) just in time for Xmas.
